Adapting Synechococcus to different temperatures

We have been growing the cyanobacteria Synechococcus at three different temperatures (20, 24, and 28°C) for many weeks now, tracking growth and planning for un upcoming experiment. Look at the picture and you will know where it grows fastest… So we now have three sets of axenic cultures and are soon ready to start our next experiment where we will use a combination of metabolomics and transcriptomics to trace labile carbon when co-cultured with bacteria. Exciting times!
