Micromonas matrix experiment

Earlier this week I was helping out in sampling for a Micromonas-bacteria co-culture experiment, conducted by the UGA graduate student Frank Ferrer-González. The experiment adress metabolite utilization by tracking substrates released by the green algae over time and using bacteria as biosensors to find out what they utilize. Very exciting!
