We recently published a paper where we use a combination of biogeochemical models and monitoring data to adress cyanobacteria biomass and nitrogen fixation in the Baltic Sea. Our model combination using the cyanobacteria life cycle (CLC) addiction improves the seasonality which results in estimates much closer to observations.
